Two weeks ago I decided to visit my mum and dad. I miss them. So I booked it. 🇺🇸✈️🇬🇧

I also decided I finally wanted to go to Paris. So I booked that, too.🇬🇧🇫🇷

Next week I start my MFA in Writing for Young Readers.🎓

For those who’ve been following along — it’s been a hard season. But this week I didn’t choose later. I chose present. I chose memories, croissants, and my people.

And next week I’m choosing something that will keep bringing me joy: writing alongside some truly brilliant authors.

So if you’re in a hard season — stop waiting for it to pass before you start living. Book the trip. Call your mum. Say yes to the thing that lights you up.

Later is a myth. It’s taken me way too long to learn this. Now is what we have. And I’m learning, slowly, to receive it with open hands.
